Tracy Dryer graduated from St. Louis College of Pharmacy in 1987. Growing up in the small town of Mexico, MO, she fell in love with the pharmacies there that still had soda fountains and personal relationships with the hometown pharmacist. She began working in a pharmacy at the age of 16, recognized her calling, and never looked back.
She started her career with OSCO Drug and went immediately into management. After her first couple of years, she was named OSCO’s Pharmacy Manager of the Year. Tracy’s commitment to the profession, meticulous attention to detail, acute problem-solving skills, and empathy for her patients spurred her on to open her own pharmacy in 1992.
She has been a compounding pharmacist for 35 years, but began to specialize when she received training in the early 2000’s at the Professional Compounding Centers of America. She found a real passion for helping men and women in the Bio-Identical Hormone Restoration Therapy field. Physicians in Missouri and Kansas have referred patients to her for evaluation for over 20 years now.
She continued her learning under renowned BHRT expert and author, Jim Paoletti and remains close with him today. She has attended numerous seminars and webinars in an effort to continue her education in the field, but has also given numerous seminars to patients and practitioners herself. She is currently working on an International Webinar with her mentor and writing her book.
Going through menopause herself at a very young age, Tracy is also a patient on BHRT and understands symptoms and concerns firsthand — not relying on clinical skills alone. She “gets it” and truly sees her clientele as fellow patients.
She also has extensive background in topical pain cream, long-term care, hospice, veterinary, pediatric, dermatology, and gastroenterology compounding. She loves creating new formulas to help patients with whatever needs they may have. That’s the beauty of compounding!
She is married to Mike Dryer and has two brilliant children, Ross and Elise. Tracy’s passions in life — besides helping patients — are being an artist, listening to her kids perform professionally, singing in the church choir where she met Mike, and serving on the Session of that church, Chapel Hill Presbyterian.
Courtney Ferrier, PharmD, joins the Summers Pharmacy compounding team with 13 years of clinical experience in pharmaceutical compounding. In 2009, Courtney earned her Doctorate at the University of Kansas. Her strong clinical knowledge and experience with compounded medications, vitamins, nutritional supplements, and hormone replacement therapy allow her to serve patients and practitioners holistically. She uses her training to optimize health outcomes via clinical lab monitoring, patient consultations, and practitioner collaboration. Courtney is married to David and has two sons. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, being active, boating, and growing in her faith.
